Taking Your Visitors’ Perspective
Websites are mainly designed to provide more information or entertain all the visitors of the website. As webmasters, we’ve been taking it a little far for a while now and it’s probably time for change. What kind of change you ask?
Well, you can start off by assisting your visitors/readers with a user-friendly website. Meaning that keeping all content and a great design in a place that it fits perfectly. Jumbling all content and advertisements all in one section is quite disturbing. Allow your visitors some room to breathe in!
Content:
In my opinion, content comes first before every other aspect of a website. If you’re not providing quality content, then your visitors aren’t really interested in it unless you have the popularity to out stand that crowd. There are quite a bit of ‘make money online blogs’ that do not provide any relevant guides on how to make money online but they do maintain to attain a large base of readers. We all can’t be that lucky; therefore, you must work on providing great content over any other aspect. It will save you a lot of time and money by doing this.
Design:
It has been proven throughout many websites that the overall design isn’t the first thing that attains a visitor but it’s still not a great thing to have the most hideous web design template on the net. This can be quite disturbing amongst many people. You can definitely go with a simple and plain template which gets the work done but definitely having a unique template can help you out much through branding.
Reader/Visitor Targetting:
When your campaigning to get your website more noticeable amongst new readers, target the right people for your website and not the wrong people. Advertise on related websites to get a better return and also to please your visitors. I surely wouldn’t want to be on a webmaster blog reading website reviews of animal sites. It would affect my overall view of the website and I probably wouldn’t come back if it was on a daily basis.
As they all say, your first shot is on your first impression. Messing up your first impression can determine the success of any business or website and taking these aspects on your website into consideration would be the most suitable position you would ever need to take. No matter what your next plan may be, always remember to consider your visitors’ perspective before everything else.
